Printed Window Film for Cancer Care, Wigan RAE Infirmary
A joint venture between Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, and Macmillan Cancer Support, the new Cancer Care Centre features purpose built clinical accommodation, 12 chemotherapy treatment areas, counselling facilities, a complementary therapy suite and a Macmillan Information and Support service.
The £5million modern new build utilises lots of glass to maximise natural light, and bespoke window graphics in trust colours were an integral part of the design for the large glazed staircases. Following a successful tender, ARC Window Films were delighted to be chosen to supply and install the window graphics for these areas.
Printed Frost Window Film and Bespoke Cut Graphics
Working from the initial designs provided by the client, the in-house design team at ARC Window Films were able to produce and install a high grade printed window film to the glazing. The modern design incorporates the NHS trust colours, and covers the whole elevation of the staircase.
The printed window film adds colour and decoration to the area, whilst still allowing over 70% visible light to pass through. In addition to the staircase, the top panes of the waiting room also received the product, to off glare reduction in addition to the impressive decoration.
Cut frost window film was designed and installed to the lower panes of the waiting room, to add yet further decoration and break up the large expanse of glass.
Finally, cut vinyl lettering was installed to welcome patients to the centre.
