Winwick C of E Primary School Achieve Compliance
Winwick Church of England Primary School, based in Warrington, contacted ARC Window Films with the purpose of having a glazing safety audit carried out at the school to ensure that the schools glazing still remained compliant with current Health and Safety glass regulations.
Ever-changing Health and Safety Glass Regulations
Health and Safety glass regulations are regularly updated, which often leaves many schools inadvertently non-compliant with legislation. This poses a risk of injury for staff and pupils if the school contains non-compliant areas of glazing, so a regular glazing audit (every 5 years) is heavily advised in order to ensure your school remains safe and compliant.
Glazing Audit
A glazing safety audit was carried out on the schools entire glazing, and a full report was provided, highlighting all of the non-compliant areas of glazing. The report also contained recommendations on the necessary remedial safety works that would be needed in order to achieve compliance with Health and Safety glass regulations.
Installation of Safety Window Film to Comply with Health and Safety Glass Regulations
ARC Window Films worked with Winwick C of E Primacy School to schedule the remedial works in at the most suitable time as to not disrupt the students and teachers.
Following the installation of safety window film, Winwick C of E Primary school is now compliant with current Health and Safety glass regulations, and a glazing compliance certificate was provided.
Safety window film is a clear solution to upgrade glazing, which holds glass together upon impact, reducing the risk of serious injury.
