Reducing Heat and Glare in The Old Chapel.

Widely regarded as the finest building in Darwen, the former Wesleyan Methodist Chapel is now home to Wetherspoon following extensive refurbishment.

The building suffered from excessive heat and glare entering through the windows, and options were limited as the chapel is grade 2 listed. Although the glazing cannot be replaced in such buildings, a solar window film can be installed to heat and glare issues.

Solar Window Film

With an extensive range of solar window film in their range, ARC Window Films were able to help.

A neutral reflective window film as installed, effectively reducing heat and glare without excessively altering the appearance of the glazing.

The neutral tone of the solar window film installed at the Old Chapel is inkeeping with the traditional look of the building, and staff and customers are now much more comfortable.

Window film for Listed Buildings

ARC Window Films offer a range of solar window film and thermal window film for use in historic and listed buildings. These films are designed to enhance and improve the performance of the glazing without noticeably changing its appearance.
